Semester Course in Drawing and Painting for Youth (19 sessions, 120 minutes)

This course is designed for young people up to 18 years old, with the lower age limit determined through a personal consultation between the instructor, you, and your child. The course is suitable for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students, with the content customizable based on discussions with the instructor.

The course focuses on the basics of drawing and painting, rooted in traditional teaching methods through studying from life and creative expression based on personal imagination. Students will be introduced to fundamental artistic techniques and themes, starting with pencil, charcoal, and red chalk drawing, and gradually progressing to painting with pastels, watercolor, acrylic, or oil. Our students learn the foundations of image construction, composition, and color theory, with the goal of achieving artistic expression. Additionally, the course includes an introduction to art history, encouraging students to explore the development of visual arts and connect with contemporary artistic trends.

As a studio, we prioritize the careful selection of our instructors, emphasizing their own artistic practice and positive approach not only to painting and drawing. The teacher-student relationship is the foundation on which we build. We believe that a pleasant, creative atmosphere in the studio is essential for awakening your creativity. The structure and focus of the course are guided by the individual artistic program of the lead instructor, whose strong personality and expertise can be very inspiring for you.

The first semester of study is divided into several blocks:

  • Still life drawing (introduction to drawing techniques, using pencil, charcoal, red chalk, ink)
  • Architectural space study (drawing interiors and exteriors, perspective, proportions)
  • Figurative drawing (portrait, figure)
  • Painting (color theory, composition, techniques: watercolor, pastel, acrylic, oil)
  • Outdoor drawing
  • Mixed techniques (individual creative work)
