This course is designed for children aged 6 to around 10 years old.
Throughout the course, children will be introduced to the basics of design, the history of design, and, most importantly, they will create their own projects. Design is everywhere in our daily lives—when we get out of bed, get dressed, drink tea, grab our bags, and head to school. While we can buy finished products in stores, we can also make them ourselves or even redesign them. In this course, children will design their own room, paint a mug or a t-shirt, create jewelry, and paint a picture for their room, making their own frame beforehand. They will also learn the basics of drawing and painting, which are essential for design work.
There is so much that even young children can create!
The course will be taught by Jitka Stolínová, a professional designer with over 25 years of experience. In addition to her design practice, she teaches design courses at our school and at a high school in Liberec.
